Customer support outsourcing for UAE organisations
The UAE has one of the most linguistically mixed customer bases anywhere. A single day's contacts might arrive in English, Arabic, Hindi, Urdu, Malayalam, Bengali, Tagalog or Russian, from customers whose expectations of service formality vary just as widely.
RHI builds dedicated customer service teams for UAE organisations from five full-time agents, delivered from our India operation.
Before anything else, the limitation that matters most: we do not staff Arabic-language support. Our standing capability is neutral international English plus Hindi, Hindi-English bilingual, Bengali, Nepali and Punjabi, with further Indian languages on request. If your customer base needs Arabic, you need a supplier who can genuinely provide it, and we would rather tell you now than during a pilot.
Where we do fit
We fit well where a substantial share of your contacts arrive in English or in an Indian language - which in the UAE is a large share for many businesses, given the composition of the resident population.
Common shapes: an English-language team handling the majority of contacts with Arabic routed to your in-house staff or a specialist partner; or a Hindi, Malayalam-on-request and English team serving a predominantly South Asian customer base. Both are honest arrangements. What we will not do is present an English team as sufficient for a market where it is not. See our language capability.
The working week
The UAE working week is not the one most offshore rosters assume. The public sector operates Monday to Friday with a shortened Friday, while private-sector patterns vary - some organisations retain a Saturday element and some do not. Friday afternoon carries particular significance around prayer times.
Getting this right is not a detail. A team rostered Monday to Friday on a Western pattern will be staffed when your customers are not contacting you and absent when they are. We plan against the week your organisation and your customers actually keep, and we ask rather than assume. Coverage is built from shift units - eight hours is one, twelve is two, weekend cover needs enhanced staffing.
Ramadan changes both sides of the equation
During Ramadan, working hours are typically reduced, contact patterns shift substantially later into the evening, and the days around Eid behave differently again - with the exact dates moving each year against the Gregorian calendar.
This needs planning as its own period rather than treated as a month with slightly different hours. Volume does not simply reduce; it relocates. We agree the Ramadan roster and the Eid arrangement in advance, and we plan the return to normal hours as deliberately as the change into them.
A near-identical business day
Gulf Standard Time sits an hour and a half behind India, which is the closest alignment of any market we serve. In practice that means a single India shift covers the entire UAE business day with real-time overlap throughout - no night shift required for standard coverage, and questions between your team and ours get answered the same hour rather than the next day.
It also means extending into UAE evenings is inexpensive relative to other markets, because it is a modest shift adjustment rather than a night rotation.
Channels and register
WhatsApp is a primary support channel in the UAE rather than a secondary one, and it comes with its own platform rules - a limited window for free-form replies, pre-approved templates outside it, and evidenced opt-in for business-initiated messages. See WhatsApp support.
Phone carries the difficult conversations, particularly in banking, telecoms, real estate and travel. Chat and email carry the rest, joined through one team so history follows the customer - see omnichannel support.
On register: UAE business communication tends to be more formal than Australian or American, and courtesy conventions matter. Agents are trained on the expected level of formality, on names and honorifics, and on the cultural awareness the market requires - including around religious observance.
Pricing and data protection
UAE work is quoted in US dollars as a starting monthly rate per dedicated agent, with a five-agent minimum. Published figures are planning starting points shown with their basis rather than quotes - see published rates and what changes them.
Where we support your customers you are the controller and we are your processor, with processing terms in the services agreement. Data is processed in India. If you are subject to UAE federal data protection requirements or to a free-zone regime such as the DIFC or ADGM frameworks, raise that at scoping - free-zone rules can carry specific transfer and contractual requirements that shape the arrangement, and they are better addressed before contract than after.
Access is least-privilege and role-based, verification precedes disclosure, and retention is configured to your requirements. We hold no information security certification and do not claim one. See security and data protection.
Talk to us about UAE support
The single most useful thing to bring is the language split of your contacts. If Arabic is a large share, we will tell you straight away that we are not the right supplier for that portion. If it is not, we can move quickly to the shape and coverage that fits. Also useful: contact volume by hour, and your working week.

It can. DIFC and ADGM frameworks carry their own data protection requirements, and free-zone rules can impose specific transfer and contractual conditions. Raise it at scoping - it is much easier to address before contract than after.
